I recently purchased this charming book.
I especially liked this page, with the comment, “This is because a horse not only knows what you know, but he also knows what you DON’T KNOW.”
How true. Here are a few examples.
We might consider ourselves partners of our horses, but they likely see us as oblivious buddies.
Our decisions are no doubt tolerated, with a grain (or a bucket) of forbearance.
When your horse has a good idea, it’s best to go with the flow.
You’ll both reap the benefits.
And at the end of the day, the two of you really will be partners.
Cute — and true!
I particularly liked the line in that book, “In the beginning, say the first 30 years…” So true!
Thanks, I really needed a smile tonight.
That’s the thing about my rides on Tonka, no matter how they go, they always make me smile in some way 🙂
Only got one word – Adorable!
Some people want stately horses. I’ll take adorable 🙂 And once in awhile we get statuesque!
Great Post!
